News from Erie VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary
The July 8th meeting, the first with our new officers, went well with 8 members
present.
The last “Lucky 100” Friday get-together for this go-round was July 16th.
Tickets for the next session, which will start September 10th, are now
available. This has been a great fund raiser and better yet, a good time. Please
try to attend come September if you can.
Our annual trip to see a Mud Hen’s game will be July 29th. We will meet at the
Post at 5:00 pm. Come if you can, it’s a great time.
We will be pursuing repairs to the parking lot with the Post. Several bids have
been received and it looks like a go. It needs some help for sure.
Applications for the Post Scholarship are now available in the Kennedy Room.
There will be three names drawn on the 23rd of August. It is open to all Post
and Auxiliary members and their immediate families.
All members have paid their dues for 2010. Thanks a lot guys for the great
support!
We welcomed two new members to the Auxiliary this month: John Smith and
Ken Adamski. Welcome to the Group guys! If you know anyone who might be
interested in joining our fine group, see the Secretary or President for
application forms, or just bring them to the meeting.
The last Card Room fund raiser at Dollar King for 2010 will start in September.
There will be signup sheets in the Kennedy Room very soon. Please help out if
you can.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Post home on Erie
Road. Hope to see you there.
