News from Erie VFW Post 3925 Mens Auxiliary
The January 11th, 2012 meeting was well attended with 16 members present.
“Lucky 100” is starting again on January 13th and will run for ten weeks. Hope to
see you there for some fun and (hopefully) some winnings!
The new system for entry to the Kennedy Room is now in service. Access numbers
have been assigned to many of our members already. If you do not have one and
need one, please contact Mike Grodi.
The Christmas Party this year was a modest success. As in the past several years,
everything was great, but we needed a few more attendees. We have co-chairs
for next year’s party (John Cousino and Mark Dusseau) and they will be looking for
ideas.
We have been asked to provide bartenders for several upcoming functions being
sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. There will be more discussion at the next
meeting. Anyone interested, contact Dan Dusseau.
We will be having four Poker Room fund raiser sessions in 2012. We will try to do a
better job of getting participation for coverage and will have a chairperson in
charge of doing that. Also, there will likely be an appreciation dinner sometime soon
for those that worked on this fund raiser in 2011.
It was voted to give lapel pins to all members and special five year pins for all who
have had membership for at least that long.
Don’t forget about the Muskrat dinner on the 27th!
Dues for 2012 are payable at this time. Please see Treasurer Frank Connolly or
catch him at the next meeting if you can. We will be issuing a yearly update letter
soon so you out-of-towners can take care of your dues as well.
